NTSC to PAL?? **URGENT**
Hey,
I’ve created a project entirely in NTSC. But today I’ve been asked to burn a few DVDs of my project in PAL to go to England tomorrow.
I thought I could just create a PAL Encore Project and Import my NTSC avi’s… but that doesn’t work because of the resolution differences.
Whats the best and quickest way to make a quality PAL version??

Likely your NTSC DVD will play fine on a PAL player in the UK, since most accept NTSC in addition to PAL.

I hope you are right, because what I’ve had to do is create a new PAL project in PPro, import my Final NTSC cuts, Scale them up to fill the larger frame, and then export as PAL, and import into a new Encore project at lesser quality.
I will recommend trying the NTSC version in England before the PAL as these are being viewed by potential sponsors.

What you could do if you really must use PAL, that is if the NTSC version does not work, is to only export the video to AVI, use something like Procoder or Procoder Express to convert the NTSC AVI to PAL AVI and replace the original clip with the converted clip. Save this project, open a new PAL project and import the saved one. The problem is however with titles. Going from 480 to 576 vertical resolution is tricky. Try how that works.
