pictures on adobe premiere pro
Does anyone knows how to apply tranmision efects on the pictures automaticaly by random when I have 200 pictures on my time line to create a photoshow for my DVD? or does anyone knows if there is any othre way?

if you are using the same transition on every edit, assign that transition to be your default transition. Then select the correct track, and hit tab to go to each edit, then ctrl+ D to insert the transition – repeat – you can do this very quickly.

If you organized them in your Project Window instead of on the sequence, you could “Automate to Sequence” which allows you to select a transition.

Ok that is good but it won’t let me do random transitions. I would like to use different for each picture. If this is possible I am not sure how to do it.

Premiere is pretty lame when it comes to picture slide shows compared to apps that specialize in that. How many clicks of the mouse is needed to do a pan/scan on a 8 megapixel pic? Too many!
How many 8 MP pics does it take to bring Premiere and 2 GB of ram down? Too few!
Not being able to select a group of pics in the timeline and adjust duration of those pics or their transitions and no random transition setting make Premiere a non starter for picture transfers.
AE is needed for animated text.
I use ProShow Producer and could not live without it.
