transitions not working
A few weeks ago I was working on a project in PP2 when some of the dissolves stopped previewing correctly. Where the dissolve should start it would simply cut to the next clip.I assumed it was corrupt preview files but the final render also came out this way. I dumped all the preview files but with no improvement.The only way around the problem to get the show out on time was to remove the transitions and keyframe the opacity.
The next day when the job was out the door I decided to try and solve this mystery by re-creating the show in a new project.Everything worked perfect so I was convinced it was project file related. So I opened the old problimatic project and guess what, everything was fine. So now I had no clue what caused it.
I tried different combinations of media and project settings but couldn’t replicate the problem so I let it go.
Since then the issue has arisen several times and is getting quite annoying. I have found that it effects most, possibly all, the drag and drop transitions when it does happen.I originally thought it was the recently installed new drivers for my Decklink Extreme. But I immediately rolled them back to the previous drivers I have been using without issue for months.
