Premiere Pro 2.0 won’t start
I’m running production studio premium on P4, dual 3GHz, 1GB RAM, Service Pack 2. Premiere Pro 2.0 won’t even start after returning from 2 week shoot out of town. After Effects and Encore open fine. But when I go to open Premiere Pro 2.0 it starts to initialize and then the window just disappears and the app never opens.
All project files and media are backed up on external SATA2 drives. Already tried reinstalling Premiere Pro 2.0, then whole production studio, then quicktime and windows media, windows update, etc. Recently yanked Matrox RTX100 and blew out whole system and reinstalled XP and all software after major issues with Matrox drivers. Now I’m only editing DV as an offline before conforming on Blackmagic HD system. It was working fine until now. I can’t even find the preferences file. A search for “adobe premiere pro prefs” turns up nothing on any drive.
Could it be related to a possible Quicktime reinstall while I was gone?
