    Hi all,

Thanks in advance for the help. I’m trying to export nine sequences to .avi files that will then get converted to flash. However, PP1.5 is only exporting part of each sequence, though I’ve checked the box that says “export entire sequence”, it’s showing up that way in the options, and just for good measure (out of desparation), I’m also marking an “in” point at the beginning of the sequence and an “out” point at the end of the sequence. Worse, where it stops the export (so I wind up with only part of the sequence in the resulting .avi file) is completely random. Some sequence are exporting 70% of the sequence, some less than 10% and it varies when I try and export the same sequence again (for example, 70% on try 1 and 10% on try 2). What am I doing wrong? I’ve rebooted several times, no difference. Aaagh!

    What are your export settings?
    How long are your sequences?
    Have you updated to 1.51?
    Any error messages?

    Hi Mike,

I’ve tried to export it using both the “Export Movie” and the “Adobe Media Encoder” functions.

Settings on “Export Movie”: Export entire sequence, video and audio as .avi file.

Settings on “Adobe Media Encoder”: Same but as .wmv file at 320/240 size, high quality.

Sequences range from 2:30 to 10:45.

    I have updated to 1.51.

No error messages on “Export Movie”. It just stops at some random point along the way and only part of the sequence ends up in the resulting .avi file.

I do get an error message on the “Adobe Media Encoder”: Adobe Premiere Pro failed to return a video frame.

I have downloaded the Adobe Media Encoder update and the Windows update for dual processors (I have a hyperthreading system) that I read on Stephen Gotz’s website that is supposed to solve the issue. Didn’t work.

I also turned off the hyperthreading as I read somewhere else that it can make Premiere Pro run with more stability. Also didn’t work.

And the crazy thing (or one of the crazier things) is that it works on some sequences but not others and there seems to be no rhyme or reason for when it does or doesn’t work.

“Help me Obiwan, you’re my only hope”

    Any virus scanner running?
As I recall there was a workaround for 1.5. Rename Premiere’s executable in the program folder to anything else like Premiere 2.0.exe and then create a new shortcut.
