    Hi there.
I have installed Premier 7 and am trying to use my camera to import video footage and also to batch capture. Premier is not recognising my camera at all – it says it if offline. I am using a PC with Win XP and the camera is PAL. I have hooked the camera up with the USB cable.
Can anyone give me any advice please?
    Anything would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Most Video file transfer between cams and computers is done by firewire(IEEE1394, iLink), USB is usually used for image and streaming video(mpeg) recordered on it memory chip card.

I think firewire is your best bet, however I to recently installed the same program..I was able to edit for about an hour and then I got the same message..I know the camera works and the cable is good, if I find the problem I’ll be sure to pass it along..
