  BMD Decklink output dies when PremPro2 is in background

  Hello,

  I’ve just recently upgraded to PremPro2 from 1.5 and there is a seemingly minor issue that is bugging me. I use PP2 with a BlackMagic DecklinkHD card for HD-SDI i/o. With PP1.5 I could have video playing int he timeline and switch to another app, IE, Windows explorer, effectively making PP1.5 the background task and the video would still play out of my Decklink card. And it still works like this, I’ve verified it since PP1.5 is sitll on my machine.

  But with PP2, the app must be in the foreground in order for there to be video output on my Decklink ports. I have gone through every little checkbox that I think should work with no success. Can someone point out what is going on?

  Try going into the playback settings in the monitor window…I believe that the option for “disable overlay when PPro is in the background” is in there…though I’m not sure if it will affect the BM card or not.
