Uninstalling 1.5 Release
Several months ago, I upgraded from the Adobe Video Suite Premium (the 1.5 stuff) to the current Video Bundle Premium (2.0.) All went well with the install but it didn’t give me any options about removing the older versions of the programs.
It would appear that under the Windows XP Add/Remove programs area that the new bundle is listed under one entry. The older 1.5 versions are listed individually under their respective names and versions.
My question: is it okay to remove the old versions without tainting the new release? I’ll have to do them one at a time as there doesn’t appear to be any group uninstall – or any Adobe uninstall for that matter. I’ll have to do so using the standard Windows uninstall method.
Before I do this, I’ll create another disc image (I currently use Acronis TrueImage) for safekeeping but I though I’d check here to hear others’ experience in this matter. As I mentioned above, I purchased the upgrade directly from Adobe and I don’t know if I need to keep the old versions on my drive to keep it functioning properly.
The only reason I’d like to do this is to save disc space and thereby reduce the sizes of my multi-generational disc image backups.
Thanks for any advice.

Tim
