What is the best 3rd party app for digitizing AVIs for Premiere?
Posted by Deja Lou on August 2, 2006 at 10:08 pmI tried Windows Movie Maker, but Premiere didn’t like the files it created.

I use Scenalyser occasionally but mainly the PremPro Capture function and never have a problem with it.

August 11, 2006 at 4:53 pmI use SceneAlyzerLive to capture from a Sony PDX-10 because Premiere 1.5 won’t recognize both audio channels (apparently something to do with Sony’s implementation of the DV standard – it’s outputing two mono channels and Premiere wants to see a stereo channel). However, Premiere doesn’t have any problem with the SceneAlyzer avi files for me. Maybe a setting?
Under Options, Capture, check to see that youre set for Type2 DV-avi file.Warren Morningstar
