  Clips in Timeline preview green and cannot be seen

  Hi there,

  I received some clips shot with a Samsung Digital Cam. They use the SEDG DIVX 5.2.1 codec. although I am still having issues. I cant seem to find the SEDG codec itself. When I am editing at any random point the clips in the timeline turn green and they preview like this as well as export like this. I cannot seem to work out what the problem is unless it’s a codec problem. Any help?

  If Windows Media player can play the clips, you have the codec installed on your system. Premiere is just not going to be able to edit them.
  Best bet is to play the video from the Samsung camera through an analog/digital converter and capture the stuff as DV. Many DV camcorders can convert on the fly (analog in>DV out).
