Attempting to use Adobe Clip Notes with a WMV file. Everything seems to work, the pdf file is created and the wmv file is uploaded to the server and I checked and it is there. I can even play it directly using Media Player. Problem is when using the pdf file once I hit play, it says “error playing media file”. When I check properties it has the website on it but no indication of the file name, length, codec info etc. Can someone guide me on this? Thanks

    Two questions:
    1. What version of the Adobe Reader (or Acrobat) are you using? You should have at least 7.0.5.

    2. Is the WMV file stored in the same relative location to the PDF file on the server as it is on your hard drive?

If the locations are correct, it could be something on the server side. Use the embed option in the Clip Notes dialog to embed the WMV file in the PDF, then you shouldn’t have this problem.

Thanks for your response. I believe I’ve solved the problem. I did not include the file name when entering the location for the URL and it seems to be working now. Thanks for your response.
