  Irritating waveform behaviour in PP2

  Does the lack of refreshing the waveform bother anyone else here. Every other version of Premiere and other NLE apps have never done this to me before, when scrolling the timeline the waveform becomes blank!!! If I pause the timeline from playing, the waveform of course refreshes and all is fne, but I have to pause the timeline. Whatever is behind my timeline also won’t refresh when I scroll to that section. I have to pause my timeline. When I zoom out of my timeline, if I zoom out too far, the waveform goes blank. Of course I have to pause the timeline (this only happens when the timeline is playing of course, not when the program is still).

  I really like being ahead of my play head on Premiere as I play the timeline so I can see my waveform coming up and can quickly get to that section for editing if required, I can’t do this too far ahead of the play head in PP2 cause I only see blank where the waveform should be, or when I zoom out.

  This really bugs me and is the single worse annoyance of PP2. Has anyone else experienced this?

  Yes I get about 2 refreshes of the timeline and then the waveform fails to draw completely. Suspect this is a power or video card issue.
  My pet peeve is that the waveform does not update with volume changes to the clip.
