Boring Speed
I got a PIV 3.2Ghz,WinXP Prof,Matrox Rtx100Pro,Matrox Parhelia and
2 Gb Ram.Don’t you think should be enough to scroll Premiere Pro 1.5
timeline and Magic Bullet applied filter without a Boooooring
Speed? What I should buy,a NASA Control Center????? -

No problems here using Magic bullet with PP2.
What do you mean by boring speed ?

Effects like Magic Bullets require rendering before previewing at real speed. They need serious processing.
Even the highest end ‘puter boxes’ as used in Flame and Inferno Suites render.

What I mean is a very slow timeline scrolling while prewewing.
Yeah,I know rendering is needed for realtime preview but I didn’t
think it could take a couple of second every frame even only scrolling …
When I’m wondering which preset is better for each clip and I
apply several of them (one at the time,of course)is a very boring task.
When I bought my new PC I followed all the Matrox advice (motherboard,videoboard,chipset,Ram Brand,etc) hoping in a very fast
machine.If you read about Parhelia seems to be the “state of the art”
videoboard in 2D editing…but I’m very disappointed about
performance even in Non-RT mode.
Could it be some wrong setting or Magic Bullet is a too much heavy
developed plug-in? Consider Boris FX or Boris Red give me a faster
non-RT timeline scrolling. -
NOTHING I know of is going to help you accelerate Magic Bullet the way that you want. It is going to bring the most powerful computer to its knees. It’s just the way it is. If you want a plug-in that does what it does and which realigns the math of an entire image while “reading” it and redefining the presentation of the entire image on the fly, then you are going to get a render hit — get used to it or shoot film in the first place.
Oh, and NASA is very expensive; go with the cost of Magic Bullet, it’s far cheaper.

OK Guys,I see there is no better way to go faster.
Maybe could be a good way to rest a little while working…:)
