Will my Nvidia GeForce Go 7400 card in my HP Pavillion dv7000t allow me to display just the monitor view on an external monitor in Adobe PremierePro 2.0 if I configure it correctly? This is a very specific request to just show the monitor view only and not the whole desktop in Premiere. Thanks! Larry

I do not think that is it is possible to do it that way.

I run the F/Wire out through a DV deck and into the external monitor from there.

The DV deck acts as the Digital to analogue converter. There are other ways to achieve this also.

The nVidia FX540 and the upper FX range plus the Matrox triple head card are the only ones I’m aware of that allow this configuration. It’s a combination of hardware and the driver.

Thanks Craig. I too run the firewire out to a DSR-11 , then to a NTSC monitor. What I’m trying to do is monitor HDV which does not come down the firewire cable. Larry

Thanks redgum. I think my nVidia card is too low on the food chain! Larry
