I posted this in the Encore area, but it’s getting no feedback. Maybe the answer lies in Premier, anyway. Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi! You’re my only hope!

I am editing miniDV footage I shot with a Sony TRV-17 camcorder. I am editing in Premier Pro 1.5. Originally, I had rendered as MPEGs, then assembled in Encore and saved out a DVD folder. I tried to burn with Nero but received the message “burn failed due to non-compliant video” or something like that.

I went back and saved everything out as AVI files (ate up a lot of hard drive space!) and went thru all the steps again in Encore, only to have the same error in Nero.

What gives? Are the DVD folders still salvageable somehow? I am rendering de-interlaced. Is that messing things up? Can I “massage” the current DVD folders somehow to make them compliant? Help!

Why don’t you just burn from Encore instead of Nero?
