  • I miss the audio rendering of subsequences from 1.5

When I added effects on the audiomixer tracks in a sub sequence in PP1.5, and afterwards added a dissolve on the sequence clip in the MASTER-SEQUENCE, Premiere used to render the sequence to a previewfile of some kind, and audio was reliabe. But in 2.0 Premiere doesnt render anything at all, and instead my audio is stuttering (Ive used the EQ and DYNAMICS effects in the subseq). Can I enable this autopreview-rendering somewhere?

And another thing: I try to render the preview files using the shortcut ENTER, but It doesnt render just the active workspace, instead it renders the whole master-sequence, making me wait for 10 minutes, on a 1 hour project. Why does ENTER not render only the workspace which I define?

I am afraid I can not help you. My copy of Premiere Pro 2.0 only renders the workarea when I press the Enter key.

If you create a new project from scratch, put in a clip and add an effect, can you set the workarea for a portion of the clip and have it just render that portion?

Steven, did you recreate Kovboy’s setup – 3 + 1 sequences etc or simply attempt an audio render on a timeline? My version of PP2 does the same as his. Even with the area bar selected it goes back to the beginning.
