  Color correction from Premiere to After Effects workflow

  Hi,

  I was wondering a few things about color correction and finishing in after effects.

  What is generally the workflow most people use? Do you open up your premiere .prproj files in After effects and than color correct/add effects from there? What happens if you need to make more edits?

  (i.e.) If I am color correcting an imported premiere project in after effects and I need to make more edits to the original prproj file and then I save the changes, will the AE project update to reflect the new edits when I next open the AE file that was based on the prproj file?

  I have only used premiere version 1.5 and AE6.5, so I don’t know if the new adobe bridge solves any of these problems. I have read that premiere pro incorporates more AE effects and features in version 2. Does premiere do transfer modes yet? fcp does 🙁

  I usually make sure that the cut is locked down, before color correcting the footage. Good question regarding the automatic update. I have the production studio installed, so it does update it automatically, but if you want I can try it out on my system that is still running the older video collection.
