  how do i make the composition window tabbed instead of drop-down?

  tabbed like ae 6.5, rather than 7.0’s newfangled dropdown?

  Lock the present comp then double click a new comp in the Project panel, or choose NEW COMP VIEWER from the Viewer tab menu (the new fangled drop-down).
