  AIFF Not Importing

  I have a few .aiff audio clips which have no audio when imported into Premiere 1.5. There is no error message or anything, they just sit there like a placeholder- proper duration, but no audio plays, no waveform shows.

  They play just fine outside of Premiere. I’ve tried restarting the PC and importing the files to a different project with no luck.

  Any ideas? Thanks.

  The files are probably protected (ITunes). Use ITunes to burn a red book audio CD, then “rip” them back to your hard drive as .wav files.
  OR you can “record” them into Audition while they are playing in Itunes.
