i am kind of new with AE but im trying to make a movie anyway, you gota start somewhere 🙂

anyway during a RAM preview it takes a really long time to start and it wont show the full movie, dont know exactly why that is but i thought it might be the adeptive resolution, so trying to get it to openGL i came acros an error saying winXP release failed to initialize, here a ss of the openGL information in the preferences

No idea, but the commonly accepted solution is to re-install or update your graphics drivers…

The reason that it takes a long time before it starts to RAM preview could be that it’s previewing the audio first. Very annoying and unnecessary behavior… But that’s for 7.5…

You can disable audio previewing in the Time Controls Panel.

The reason that AE doesn’t preview the entire timeline is that RAM could be full. It can only buffer until RAM is completely used up.

And try installing the latest OpenGL drivers…
