I get almost no response from the mouse on my audio tracks. I can’t select audio clips by clicking on them, so I can’t drag or delete a clip. I can select a linked audio/video clip and I can unlink them, but I can’t relink them. I can, in certain circumstances, hold the mouse key down and slide the mouse a bit and the audio clip will be selected but I still can’t drag it; however I can delete it. I can also split a clip using the razor, but it splits all the audio tracks as well. It makes no difference whether a track is targeted or not; the mouse response is nil.
This is a serious problem for me. I’ve developed a couple of workarounds, but they’re really awkward and I end up with lots of added audio tracks. Is there a software switch that I’ve missed, or set incorrectly? Would it help to reload PPro? Is there any outside audio software that might be causing this problem? I haven’t had this problem in the past and I’m not aware of any changes I’ve made nor when the problem started. I really need to solve this; I’m behind on a project. I would really appreciate some serious advice.

If you have selected ‘show track volume’ or ‘show track keyframe’ you lose a lot of control of each audio clip. If you ‘show clip volume’ or ‘show clip keyframe’ or ‘hide keyframes’ you have control of each clip. Maybe this is the problem you are having.

Many, many thanks. Switching off keyframes seems to have solved
the problem, and I’m back at work. I really appreciate the information.
There are too little ‘gotchas’ that I haven’t already stumbled
    into, this was really helpful.
