  • Help with matching multi-cam shoot

I have just filmed a 3 camera shoot of a play. I had one master shot from the back of the hall using a Canon GL2. I had a right angle shot using a Sony TRV950 and a L angle handheld shot using a Canon Xl1s. I am using Premiere Pro 2 and I love the new mulit-cam feature. My question is, What is the best tool in PP2 to color match the cameras? My biggest problem is that the sony is hotter then the canons and the placement of these camera made the lighting way different for each.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards,

    Joe

Your best bet is going to be to apply a color corrector effect to each of them and then get them as close as possible. Part of your problem is that you aren’t using identical cameras with identical settings, they aren’t going to even be close unless you tweak them.

OK. Thank you. What color correction should I use? 3 color or fast color? or something else?

I would start with the fast color corrector. Gives you enough control and yet renders fast.
