What a terrible update. I have seen all the other posts
and can not resist to say that i am dissapointed with this update.
We payed a lot of money the last 2 years. From 5 to 6 to 6.5 to Pro 1.0 to
1.5 and then to 2.0.. Adobe knows how to make money… Instead of delivering
updates they do only upgrades. That is not a problem, but in such a short time it is.

Why i am writing this ? Because problems keep coming. DV dump doesn’t work anymore.
It worked fine for years in all the other versions and now nothing. No mather what kind
of project. DV from Blackmagic or the standard DV project from premiere.
I use a sony pce 2. It stays blue, will record and is controlable, but stays blue.

    Oh, i hate it.
. Frame blending is constantly on. Why ?
. It is much slower on loading a project. Why ?
. Title tool is still too small you can’t type small titles. Why ?
. It shouts about 5 times a day “can’t compile movie”.( no shut downs inbetween) Why ?
. And so on and so on.

I have seen the post from the Betatester, well i am sorry, but it isn’t tested good.
I am 37, editing for 20 years and used almost every tool. As a freelancer i worked
on Avid, Es3 editbox, The Cube, Combustion Editor, Quantel, Final Cut and all the Adobe
tools. Not to show of, but most of the packages got updates or upgrades and this were
95% of the times really significant changes. I am really wondering what a betatester
does test. Since 2001 i dump dv from adobe without a problem and now i spent money on
another great package, 2.0, and get problems with my business because i have to
export everything as a movie and then dump with 6.5 !
Maybe this is not a really nice post, but i am not statisfied and want to know if i
am the only one. If you call your product PRO and want to compete with other programs,
it should be good. Same for frame accuracy when using digital betacam, it isn’t..
What did they change ? 6.5 dumped accurated to tape, always. Now it doesn’t and i am
not the only one having this problem. (look at blackmagic forum.)

[joep] “. Frame blending is constantly on. Why ?”

Why not? Stating a problem without reasoning is not the way to get your point across.

[joep] “. It is much slower on loading a project. Why ?”

What type of project (s) are you editing? Also, remember that Premiere Pro now saves titles internally and hence it may take some time to load the project. But, how long is it taking you? (please be exact)

[joep] “. Title tool is still too small you can’t type small titles. Why ?”

I don’t see that problem…. Can you be more specific?

[joep] “It shouts about 5 times a day “can’t compile movie”.( no shut downs inbetween) Why ?”

I have never seen this error in the 3 years I have been using Premiere Pro. When does this error come up? What type or projects are you working with? What type of media are you working with?

My guess is that a few of the problems are being caused due to the Decklink card. Have you updated your drivers such that they are 2.0 compatible?
