  • Importing sequence from PP2.0 to AE7.0 ==> SLOW renders?

I have several PP2.0 sequences of under 10 minutes each with a number of color/motion effects. When I export to movie (cineform avi 1080i) in PP2.0, the time for each is around 2 hours. So I decided to make use of the render queue in AE7.0 and, as a test, imported one sequence into AE7.0 (adding no further effects in AE7.0). So far the rendering in AE7.0 (video for windows, cineform codec, 1080i) for just one of these sequences is taking 7 hours!

Is there something I’m doing wrong??

P.S. I have a dual core Athlon x2 4400+ with 4 GB RAM and RAID-0 drive, so I’m assuming that running both AE7.0 and PP2.0 at the same time shouldn’t stress the system that much.

    Hi,

I don’t have exactly the same problem as yours, but I also noticed an amazing time for rendering high res stills with ppro 2.0. See my post over. Premiere “pro” seems to have a big problem with rendering. I really don’t understand how they can release their soft without testing them deeply.
