  I can’t seem to get my footage to work properly once I put it in the timeline

  I’m trying to make a trailer for a local community event using footage that I converted from a .vob file.
  Obviously the .vob files won’t import, so I have tried converting to various MPEG formats, as well as AVI and Quicktime movie file.
  It won’t let me import the .MOV files anymore, but last October I made a project using only .MOV and .JPG files, so I don’t know why it doesn’t support them.

  With the other formats, I am able to play them back in the clip monitor just fine, but once I drag them into the timeline, the video gets all choppy and jumps frames, even showing frames that are beyond my clip parameters. (The audio seems completely unaffected.) I’ve tried various things to fix this, but I’m a relative novice at this, and I was hoping to get this short clip together for this week.
  Any ideas? I would love help with this, thanks so much!

  Convert VOB’s to AVI Files with DV codec.

  make DV project in Premeire.

  that should do it…
