XENA Codecs?
Posted by Kevin Christopher on January 30, 2006 at 5:52 pmWhere are the codecs for the Xena board? I can capture in premiere, and everything is fine inside premiere. If I try to play back in mediaplayer all I get is diagonal lines. After Effects 6.0 will not import it at all.

January 31, 2006 at 3:43 amcome on some one has to know what codec is used. Why would adobe give us a file that we can not read in any other program? AJA has no clue what they did.

February 1, 2006 at 6:12 pmThe AVI files created with Adobe Premiere 2.0 and the XENA HS cards are not compatible with any other program except After effects 7.0. Adobe did not make available a general windows codec for reading these files. They used the fourc code of UYVY which corresponds to a microsoft implimentation of YUV, but did not follow there format.
Great Job Adobe!! add this to your failure to include capture of imbeded audio over the SDI and you have done the best slop job of implimentation I have ever seen.
