  Custom Gradient Wipe in PPro 1.5

  Okay, I’ve looked through the archives and seen where PPro 1.0 was “buggy” about custom gradient wipes, but it appears the problem hasn’t been fixed in 1.5. I created a custom gradient, 720×480 (1.2), left-right, black-white in Photoshop and saved it as a .PSD. The idea is to use it to make text (softly) appear from left to right on the screen. Well, it works BUT, the very last scan line on the video turns white (almost as if you can see the last line of the gradient used for the transition). I’ve tried all kinds of sizing variations and file formats, but to no avail.

  Now this scan line shows up in the preview monitor of the program, and on my computer screen whenever I play back the finished DVD. However, it does not show up on my 16:9 big screen, but I attribute that to overlap of the outer edge of the video. I am worried, though, that it would show up on a 4:3 TV with the black bars.

  Any ideas/suggestions?
