  Plugins for PPro – Hollywood FX hint

  All,
  I have be fiddling with Hollywood FX 4.6 for a while… now a new discovery, hoping to share with you. Hollywood FX is not officially supported by PPro, but it does work. I had HFX for a while, and all of a sudden, I was not able to change the transitions. If I drag the transitions between 2 clips, I got the default one. If I want to change the default HFX transition to anything else, I was not able to. After 2-3 days of playing with this, I finally discover, in order to alter the transition, I have to place the timeline indicator ( I don’t know what it is officially called) away from the transition itself, then change the transitions and then bring the timeline indicator back to see the change! Isn’t this crazy? But I am glad it works.

  You can find more information on how to configure HFX to work with PPro on Pinnacle’s HFX & Adobe forum at https://webboard.pinnaclesys.com/read_threads.asp?WebboardID=6&ForumID=172&lng=1&SectionID=48. I have HFX 5.2 (transitions only) working with PPro 1.5. Others have had mixed results getting various versions of HFX to work.
