  Changing the speed of a clip variably

  Hi,

  Is there any way to change the speed of a clip non-linearly? What I mean is, is there any way that within a clip, I can put keyframes so that between one and another, it changes the speed of the clip from one value to another, so that the speed at the beginning might be 100%, but by the end it is 50%, for example? (hopefully that makes sense!)

  What I’m trying to achieve is shots where it’s full speed, then halfway through the clip it slows down and then speeds up again, after having got to it’s slowest speed.

  Does any one have any ideas?!

  Premiere does not have Time Remapping like After Effects. A cheesy workaround is to cut the clip into segments, applyng a different speed to each segment.

  Yes, I’d thought of that, and then thought better of it!!
  I think I’ll just have to do it in AE.
