Ripple Edit Problem
Using the Ripple Edit tool, moving it will also move the next clip but not the subsequent clips.
It used to do that. What did I do and how do I get it back?

I have seen this when there is audio that is stopping the edit from rippling (i.e. audio sycned down the line that is blocked by audio up the timeline). It’s hard to tell w/o seeing the project.

Thank you for your reply. The entire project is only audio. There is no sycn or grouping.

don huckleberry say it correct. What I do is lock the remainimg audio tracks. Remember; this is to avoid going out of sync

How I can erase or fix a wrong answer after is posted??

Let me clairify: There is no video on the timeline, just audio. There are many cuts to the right of where I am working on the timeline. (I work from right to left) When I make a cut to the left of all the other cuts and then use the ripple edit tool, the clip directly to the right of the ripple edit tool will follow to the left as I reduce the length of the clip on the left as it should. However, all the subsequent cuts and clips to the right of that clip will not follow which leaves a gap in the timeline.
The ripple edit tool didn’t do this before and I don’t know what I did to mess it up or what to do the repair the tool. It’s a very handy tool when it works correctly, I need help to get it back in proper working order.

I don’t know what to do, it sounds like your prefs are messed up but I don’t think you can reset those any more. Did you try a new project and see if it’s still happening?

Sounds like you had the same problem as I did today (https://forums.creativecow.net/readpost/205/875320)
For posterity’s sake: I fixed this by copying the cuts into a new sequence. Nothing else worked.
