I am getting the dreaded comb-like lines on footage that I render in Premiere Pro 1.5 when I export using the Adobe Media Encoder and use the MPEG2-DVD converter. Please help ASAP!

    “The dreaded comb-like lines” ??????????

I have never gotten this. What are your project settings, output settings and what are you trying to do? Are you using a progressive setting or an interlaced setting?

Add Deinterlace as a Pre Encoding task in the Transcode settings window. Check Pre Encoding Tasks in the Summary pane and even though Deinterlace is shown as “Add Filter”, click the drop down menu and select it again.

    Hi,
Set “interlace” as source of footage. You need not deinterlace. check on tv monitor not on computer monitors Or through a dvd player. Computer monitor will show interlace lines.
You need to check in settings and specify “interlace” not progressive as source media type. De interlace will soften the footage badly

    Bye
