I’m looking to get my hands on some raw HDV footage to test on my system and make some comparisons, benchmark system tests, effect/editing tests, layering tests, etc. I’d like some short clips, preferably captured as the original .M2T files if possible. If anyone can help me out, please let me know. Thanks in advance…

    Brian,

I would be happy to help, but why M2T? What are you going to edit it with? Perhaps I could capture some M2T, convert to CFHD, and then send you both. Unless you have the Aspect HD trial, and then you could convert it yourself.

I’m going to try some HDV footage to see how well it performs in PPro 1.5.1 with the native HDV “upgrade”, then I’m going to experiment with Aspect HD in PPro. I’d also like to test the footage on a FCP system and Avid Xpress Pro HD system to see the results (they both require a native .M2T file to start and then it “transcodes” into their intermediary codec from what I’ve read).

Any help would be much appreciated.

Try to go to JVC’s page for the cam and click Video Clips, here’s a link.

Send me an address and I will slap some footage on a DVD-ROM for you, as soon as I find the box I stored the hard drives in. Everything is in storage while we show the house, in order to sell it. Or, I will just go outside and tape some new footage and capture that. Although I am sure you would like my footage from Greece better.

I will send you the .M2T and you can convert it to CFHD in Aspect HD’s utility named “HDLink”. Although, perhaps if you only need a couple of minutes worth, I could use Filefarmer or https://www.yousendit.com/

How much footage did you want?

I found the drives and pulled the storage container back. Did you find some footage already Brian?
