  Exporting movie, too big!

  Hello, I’m pretty new on this.

  Anyway, I made a movie and exported it as a video. THen after it was done, it was 1,2 gig BIG!!! I wonder, how do you change to abit more suitable size? Or compress it, without loosing too much of it’s quality? I’m talking about 40-100mb big. Is there any function in Adobe Premiere that can compress the video to a specify size?

  Did you shoot on DV?

  What is it to be used for? DVD? CD? Web?

  Let us know and we can suggest the best compression settings for you.

  With your timeline window selected, choose File>Export>Adobe Media Encoder. Change the “Format” to Windows Media, then choose the “Preset” “WM9 NTSC 1024K download” for local playback. And then “WM9 NTSC 256k download” for the web playback.

  When I already started a post, I want to ask another thing.

  How do you freeze a video?

  I have been asking that before, but I can’t seem to find the post where I did it. I think it was something like you make a pice of the frame and put it in the timeline, but how?

  You have a couple of choices. You can export a frame and use it to freeze the video. Or, you can use another copy of the clip and use Frame Hold.
