  • sound output only when scrubbing….

Posted by Fraz2005 on October 6, 2005 at 2:08 pm

Hi, I hope someone might be able to shed some light on this problem for me. I only get a sound output when I scrub through footage, whether it be in the monitor windows or the timeline. If I simply press ‘play’ then I get no sound at all. Am I doing something wrong? Or have I overlooked a setting of some kind. I’m only just getting to grips with PPro but the lack of sound when simply playing through footage is making my editing life a nightmare. Any help or suggestions gratefully received. Thanks people 😉

Turn off/unplug the DV device you have connected to the Firewire port on your computer, or go to Project Settings > General, hit playback settings, and change the audio settings to play on your computer instead of the DV device.
