I may have found my hardware error from my previous post. ( I believe it’s just because I’m an Amature Freshman at this anyway) I have been trying to capture with just a simple firewire, no complexed capture card. Premiere Pro

Question one: Is this not recommended for Premiere Pro?

Question two: I upgraded from 6.5 and the Matrox RTX 100 but the RTX 100 says it is not compatible with Premiere Pro. So, I removed the RTX until I can figure that out. Has anyone had this problem and can you make the RTX 100 work with Premiere Pro? My problem from my previous post is the software will capture for 10-20 minutes then close and reboot with a “Hardware error, contact vendor”

    Any help is MUCH appreciated.

I capture just fine with a generic firewire card that is built into my Asus motherboard. I’ve never had a single dropped frame and it works great.

Maybe that’s not my problem. I’m still searching. Thanks for the info.

There are newer versions of the drivers for the RTX100 that have to be used with Premiere Pro, If you are using PPro 1.5 then you need drivers 6122. They are available from matrox.com

The drivers may be found from this link:

    https://www.matrox.com/video/support/rtx100xtremepro/software/home.cfm

Note that the choice of drivers depends on the Premiere version.

    That is:

    Premiere 6.5–> ver. 4263
    Premiere 1.0–> ver. 5078
    Premiere 1.5–> ver. 6122
