  Working with “Subclips”

  I’m coming back to Premiere after some time with Avid…

  I’ve divided my captured footage into Premiere’s version of subclips by setting in and out points in the source footage, dragging from the source monitor into a bin, and renaming it. Now I want to extract moments from the subclips. But setting in and out points in a subclip *changes the subclip.*

  How can I extract moments from a subclip? As it is, I have to drag the whole sublcip into the timeline and try to work with it there. Needless to say, this is cumbersome and time-consuming. Any help here would be appreciated. Thanks.
