    Hi there
I am playing around adding new sound effects to a practice movie. I am using old clips from a previous movie since it is just practice but, different ones not the same ones back to back.
When I add some of the trasitions it pops up a thing with the exclamation point saying..Transition media– This transition will contain repeated frames.
Could someone tell me what this means??
    Thanks for any help.

It means that you do not have “handles” on the end of the clips These are needed to build the transition. Think of it as extra frames (or overlapping frames) on either side of the In & Out Points of a clip in the timeline.

Will transitions still work if this error comes up?

Try it and see…but you will get repeated frames as the message says.

What it is saying is that you have not “provided” extra (overlap)frames for the transition so it will go ahead and repeat the first frame to fill in the gap.

A real transition uses “extra frames”.

Check the manual and you will see a digram how a transition works. All will become clear.
