can you delete or purge unused files from hard drive from premiere
Here’s my issue: I am making a highlight video of our local high school football team. I’ve collected over 300 clips that I have scene detected into Premiere Pro. My job now is to go through and sort the clips, and remove (delete) the ones that are no good. I’m limited on space on my HD, so it is possible for Adobe to delete the file from the hard drive when I delete it from my bin ??

Not at this time. You will have to manually remove your clips from Windows Expolorer

I am away from my editing PC this week, but can’t you unlink the media and get a choice of deleting or not?

Yes, by choosing the clip that you want to delete in your bin . . . and by right clicking . . . you can choose to unlink. PPro then asks you if you want to keep or delete the media.

But does that remove it from your Hard drive, or just out of your bin ??
