  Dropout problems while capturing

  I have capture problems. I am using a Toshiba laptop with a Compaq firewire card.
  When I capture there are multiple dropouts that shouldn’t be. Software I’m using is
  Premeire pro 7.0 Could someone help!!

  Can you give some more details about your system?

  -What processor / speed

  – Size of hard drive(s)

  – System Memory

  – Operating System

  Does it happens all the time or just certian times?

  – System Memory 1000 ram

  – Operating System Windows XP Professional

  I try to capture video from a camcorder/camera directly from Digital out to
  firewire. Can it be dirty heads on the camera?
