Activity Forums Adobe Premiere Pro Velocity envelope?

I recently started using PPro 1.5 after having used Vegas for the past few years and am going through the usual frustrations such a process entails. One of the things I haven’t figured out how to replicate is the velocity envelope. In Vegas it is a keyframable line running through the track that allows alot of control over the speed of the clip. The only thing I have figured how to do in PPro is change the speed of an entire clip. Is there anything comparable? Thanks for any help.

No. Premiere does not give variable speed, only fixed speed changes per clip or sequence. After Effects Time Remap gives the required flexibility, but so far this has not been ported to Premiere.

There used to be a Panopticum Tools plug-in for older Premiere versions that gave variable speed control, but as far as I am aware that has not been updated for PPro.

I’m not aware of any PPro plug-ins for variable speed, although there are some for AE.

Twixter is the best for this.
