We recently batch captured into Premiere Pro. In the timeline window, all the footage we pull in has to be rendered (has a red line over it), the audio drops, and when we render the video, it plays back jerky (also when we export it).

The footage was shot on a Panasonic SDX-900 camera on DVCPRO format, non-drop, at 25 mbps, 24p. We used the Panasonic DVCPRO deck to capture it.

We are using a Canopus Storm 2 RT card.

We do not have this problem on straight DV footage shot with an XL1s (in the same project).

Does anyone have any idea why exactly this is happening? Is it b/c it’s 24p?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Naveen

I would definitely look into the 24p.
Try shooting something not in 24 and see what happens.
