  PAR / Spherize effect / ??

  I have seen in many music videos that the film suddenly stretches as if the PAR is changed or some spherize effect is applied, with the actors in the video stretching out. Could someone tell me how this could be done ? Is this done simply by transform command ?

  Using the Motion effect, enable keyframing for Scale-Horizontal (toggle animation) and experiment with settings wider than 100% every few frames.
