When I listen to the audio in Premiere Pro it’s fine. I export to DVD MPeg 2 and listen to it and audio is distorted at certain points – pops and distorted when audio gets louder. I have two tracks – the voice on one (stereo), music on track 2 (stereo). I “Fill Left” the voice track because right track might have the popping sound but it doesn’t solve the problem when exported to DVD. Any other work arounds?

When I was using my matrox card I didn’t have this problem but the card doesn’t work and I’m waiting for a new one. In the meantime – I have work to complete!

It must be a setting that I’m missing – any ideas?
With Matrox my decision on the type of DVD encoding was made for me – which encoding is the best for my problem?

    I have a similiar problem.

In Premiere Pro 1.5 when I Export> Movie to a directory and then play it back in Windows Media it is OK. When I burn files to a CD the playback audio and video skip.

This is a new problem for me. In March I did this process dozens of times and it always worked. Even now when I try to burn the same AVIs (the ones that work)onto disk the playback skips.

If I use Sorenson Squeeze and convert to FLV everything is OK and I can burn to CD and have no problems in playback.

    I am on a four month old Dell 470 with a G-Raid.

Is this a problem of PP1.5, AVI, my burner, the Sonic RecordNow software?

I have been eating up spindles of disks trying to troubleshoot but feel I am going in circles.
