  motion graphic-masking

  Most of AE motion graphic videos have something like that:

  A bunch of plant slowly rise or develops. It slowly appears on the screen.
  or some arrows flies around.

  I think it’s a way of masking technic. Can you give me some tutorial or help about that effects?
