I need to burn 83 minutes of footage onto DVD in NTSC format, which I originally edited as DV PAL on Premiere Pro 1.5. Can I achieve this with the following specs?

Original footage captured as DV PAL on PD170.

DVD player: Matshita DVD-RAM UJ 820S (internal on PC. Set to PAL Region)

Premiere Pro 1.5 used to edit. Timeline as DV PAL

    Using Adobe DVD Encore 1.5.

DVD Disc: TDK DVD-R 4.7 GB single sided (hence will be using 2 discs for final DVD package)

Is it just a question of: exporting the DV PAL final movie then start a new Premiere project as NTSC, re-import the avi clip, re-export with new NTSC settings. Start an Encore DVD project with NTSC settings and change the region code of the internal DVD to USA (4 changes allowed my DVD hardware. Then burn DVD. Will this work?

N.B. Encore burning settings states DVD will be burnt to comply for all top dvd players. Does that mean that it will be compatible for US viewing?

    Sorry for lenghty query.

    Thank you.

Premiere Pro does cannot successfully convert video to NTSC or PAL. The best thing would be to export an AVI file from your project and use Canopus Procoder or River Past Video Convertor to convert the PAL video to NTSC. After that is done, import your file in an Encore NTSC project and you should be fine.

You are talking about Canopus Procoder, but are you talking about the Express at $59.00 or the full version 2.0 ?

The same for River Past Video Convertor, I only found River Past Video Cleaner?
