  • “out of memory error” on attempting to export to DVD direct from PPro

Posted by Mike Smith on May 12, 2005 at 11:12 pm

I’m just trying to export a small (6 minute) project direct to DVD for what was (now laughably) going to be a “quick” approval copy.

I’m getting a strange “out of memory” error message, after encoding is complete, usually after “assembling” is complete and at the start of writing to disc, but once or twice this error has occured earlier, in assembling or in encoding.

The DVD drive appears to be functioning normally with other applications …

    Any thoughts?

this is an issue of incompatibility sofware in windows

    two solutions

    – rename adobe ppro exe name (just change the name to avoid this incopatibility)

    or (better)

    – there is an update of mainconcept adobe encoder to correct this issue which is on the mainconcept website. You can find the link in the very good web-site of Steven Gotz ( https://www.stevengotz.com
    )in premiere section.

    regards

Thanks Oscar. The Main Concept update seems to have fixed the issue. It felt slightly odd that I’d used the dvd-direct-from-ppro feature successfully a couple of times before – albeit on very short programme segments, all cut from very short captured clips. Wasn’t expecting this one.
