    Hi,
i need to blur a trademark out as to make it unidentifiable. The camera’s moving so i need to move the blurred area around – kind of like what they do in Pop Idol to fuzz out the judges Coca Cola glasses.
    Thanks – Tim.

You realise this is the only area where Copyright prosecutions have been 100% successful.
I guess you have paid for the footage?

    Hi,
Didn’t know there might still be a copyright issue. Basicaly i have a venue with a company logo on the floor that was hired for an event which was filmed. I am editing some clips for eventual sale as mobile phone downloads. As far as i am aware the event has already been televised – so the hiring company must have copyright clearence from the venue owners? I’ve been hired by the Media company providing the mobile phone content and they’ve supplied me with the customer’s footage. So we should be okay!?

Just make sure you get a written specific copyright release from your client. Better to be safe than sorry.
In actual fact you would probably be better off leaving the logo in otherwise you create intent.
