  AE Benchmark for you! (and me)

  Hi!

  2 weeks ago I decided to make a little after effects scene with some 3d solid rotating and post it on cgtalk.com.

  The big surprise for me was the exeptionnal performance of the AMD X2 4200+ (a 1000$ machine) outperforming Dual 2.5 G5 and being not far behind the powerful Quad G5…

  I will be very happy to see more result from people at creativecow!

  You should check CPU usage. Then get Nucleo and rebenchmark.

  for the G5’s? some user did it with nucleo with considerable result but the benchmark was set initialy for benchmark the machine without any tweek… cause lot of people dont use Nucleo…

  I’d argue that if you’re not using Nucleo, you’re not getting a real indication of the what the machine is capable of. In many cases you will exercise only 1 cpu.
