  Mouse Tilt Wheel Timeline Horizontal Scrolling

  I have a Microsoft mouse (Wireless Intelimouse Explorer 2.0) with tilt wheel. I can’t seem to scroll the timeline with the tilt function. It does work when I roll the wheel but not tilt it. The only way I can get the tilt to work is to click the windows-xp bottom taskbar then click the timeline palette top window bar then move the cursor to any video or audio track (No clicking. I’m just hovering the cursor at this point). I then tilt the wheel left or right and it works. But if I click a video clip or audio I loose the tilt function again. I have to start all over with my clicking to get it going again. All the mouse settings in the properties seem to set right and I do have the latest drivers ver. 5.20.413.0
