  AE rendering SOOO SLOOOOWLY

  I’m really frustrated. Why is AE only using 21 percent of my 64 gigs of ram when I have it set to use all but 6? Nothing else is eating up resources and I have everything on separate SSD drives (project files, disc cache, etc) and I’m utilizing CUDA but this project is taking FOREVER and I can’t figure out why. Any ideas?

  There have been a lot of performance increases in Ae over the last few years, but there’s still a lot of room for improvement.

  Since you have a decent amount of RAM, and assuming your CPU utilization is also relatively low, you should consider using RenderGarden to speed up your final renders:

  Thanks! I have never seen that before but I will check it out for future projects like this that are super heavy in effects.
